Fly Fishing
Introductory Fly Fishing
This class is designed to provide you with a strong foundation of general knowledge about fly fishing. The first portion will be spent in the shop where we will be going over tackle & equipment, knots, and entomology & fly selection. After this, we move straight to the casting lesson. This is performed in the park away from the water--you'll see why. Once the basics are covered, it's time to go fishing. During this section of the course, we learn dry fly, nypmh, and streamer fishing. We will also touch on reading water, stream ettiquite, and conservation practices. The goal of the course is for you to leave feeling confident that you could grab some gear and go fishing without any further guidance/assistance. Once you have these basic skills down, your only homework is to go fishing. Typical class lengths are 4 hours.
The cost of the class is $150.00 for a single angler or $250.00 for a pair. Group classes are also available for varying rates. Bring your family, buddy, wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, youth group, scout troop, etc for an exciting and informative lesson!
