IR: IR has a new green “camo” color coming out for their dry-suits and comp LX's for 2012. And their new offering (actually for all their tops and dry suits - are new reinforced elbows and 4 layers waterproof yet breathable material. IR is also coming out with a new 3 layer entry level dry-top called the "Arch Rival" with a bit of a cheaper price for newbies or folks on a serious budget who still want a serious dry top. Expect retail to be somewhere around $275.00. As far as skirts, look for the new "Klingon Empire" bungie skirt with reinforced with kevlar. IR has gone to a 4 mm material for 2012 which will make their skirts VERY waterproof.

AT Paddles: AT now has the "Eddy" paddle available in a flexi shaft for 2012 in a blue blade. Super sexy! AT Paddlers love AT. Period.

Wavesport Kayaks: Wavesport had a banner year in 2011 with the debut of the all new Project X. Their new color announcement is called “Ice” which is a blue/white combination. Solid orange will no longer be available. Wavesport soldiers onward as a solid leader in our industry and we are proud to have the complete line of boats at Golden River Sports.

Astral: Astral has a new PFD jacket coming out called the "SeaWolf" with drop down pocket and is rescue belt compatible. Its based on the "Wilson" design if you are familiar with that particular PFD. Limited Edition "Green Jackets" continue to do well. The “Dark Water” version (waterfalls on the PFD) are available NOW at Golden River Sports. Expect more Limited Edition releases for 2012. SideNote: Astral also uses all their bi-products from the factory to make AWESOME dog beds – super comfy if you have a furry friend and environmentally friendly in regards to the Astral factory. GRS has one on display at the shop for Mr. Magic - our black lab to use. Astral is simply the best PFD out there.......and they continue to make serious headway in the marketplace.

Werner Paddles: Great paddles for those loyal customers of Werner. Nice booth and great appointment to tour all they have to offer for 2012. No major changes – they just keep on truckin'.

Salamander: FABULOUS throw ropes as always with some new designs for 2012. Salamander is also now carrying many SUP accessories like leashes and whatnot. Be sure to check them out if you are a SUP Boarding. Also look into the "Bak Yak" kayak packs and cam straps.

Big Agnes: Big Agnes is THEE best when it comes to tents and sleeping bags. Tipped off by a friend, we tested out their “Sleeping Giant” which is a memory foam sleeve you slide over your sleeping pad. Makes for fantastic comfort and easy fit in your pack. Big Ages is located in Steamboat Springs, CO. Buy local, folks. They are worth every penny.
